Victor Harbour is a beautiful seaside location on the Fleurieu Peninsula offering plenty of walks, beach strolls and parks for picnics or relaxing. The historical tramway is a fun way to access Granite Island - where further scenic walks are available - or access by the causeway is also a good option. The Cockle Train rides between Victor Harbour and Goolwa are nostalgic and fun and allow you to hop on and hop off to enjoy Port Elliott and Middleton along the way.
There are plenty of accommodation options, shops to browse, coffee shops and eateries for a variety of food. The town also has medical services, major supermarkets, hardware stores and other service providers. Other interesting places to see on the Peninsula are accessible by car. A great place to holiday!

Victor Harbour is a great holiday destination.
Victor Harbour is a great holiday destination. It has beautiful beaches and if warmer we would have swum. Plenty of nice eateries and good shopping so could cook at home easily.
The house is very family friendly and spacious, Great bedding options. 2 families could have easily fitted. It is a modern very clean house.

My stay at Back Valley Farm House was below par.
My stay at Back Valley Farm House was below par. No cooked breakfast, which was advertised as an everyday thing. Not much heating. I definitely had no control over the heating. I was accused of damaging a screen door and I did not. The place is in very poor repair. The screens have not been serviced or looked at for a long time. They were full of spider webs. The customer service did not exist and the owners of the place were not friendly or welcoming at all

I love Victor Harbor.
I love Victor Harbor. It’s a beautiful seaside country town with lots of tourist things to see and do - Granite Island, the beaches, markets and other events. This time we came for the SA Viking Festival which is a large and popular event every year! There is also the Urrimbirra Wildlife park just as you come into Victor Harbor. We ate at Mum’s Beard cafe which was amazing and I highly recommend it!

We did the Victor Harbor Heritage Walk which led us to some beautiful and interesting buildings. We accidentally discovered an art gallery on Fisher Street run as a co-op for local artists, with some fabulous works. On Saturday morning we went to the Farmer's Market and found some delicious cheeses, crusty sourdough bread, beautiful dried pears and, my favourite, Pastelli.

The best thing was to take the horse drawn tram along the causeway to Granite Island, walk round the island on the walking track, and call in to the cafe. We also enjoyed the walks round The Bluff, and along the coastal path, didn’t see any whales but saw a pod of dolphins. Interesting museum. Lovely Italian cafe, Fino’s.
Very clean and spacious rooms with well stocked kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need for 4 people. We arrived late and ordered room service dinner from the onsite bistro and grill. I was not expecting much from this place but the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce was excellent! The best steak I have eaten all year anywhere and it arrived at our room within around 20 minutes. Full sized dining table and refrigerator suitable for family. Large spa bath in bathroom with separate shower. Separate shower is good.
Well located near the centre of the township makes walking to cafes & restaurants easy, plus it's not far if walking over to Granite Island. Off-street parking at the rear of the hotel is handy, although not covered. The in-house restaurant is good as are many of the town's eateries. The historic nature of the original building adds charm to the stay. (soon the accommodation annex will be removed for the new hotel development)
The breakfast was awesome but too much for every day. Marilyn was very accommodating in our request for a lighter breakfast. The hosts were very welcoming and it was a pleasure to spend time with them. We enjoyed watching the farm animals and looking around the garden area. It was peaceful. The farm stay was a good base from which to visit Victor Harbor and its many attractions.
Super comfy bed (and comfy couch too!), warm and cosy bedroom and clean, spacious bathroom. A delicious large breakfast that Marilyn was happy to make vegetarian for me. Lovely location to wake up to, good fun watching the sheep and cows! Close to shops and restaurants and great value! Thanks Marilyn for a great stay.
The location was superb. It was within walking distance to the seafront, shops and eateries. I had a room with balcony looking to the sea; took some nice photos of the sunrise. Although the hotel is dated, it has a nostalgic feeling; a rare gem to stay in. The bathroom with spa was very clean.
Very quite location, just 100 meters to the beach. Drive to Victor Harbour center is very easy. The room was very clean and witheverything we need. The host was very helpful. He met us at the cabin and handed us the key because we did not have Aussi mobile phone to receive the password.
Nice spacious room, good bathroom with spa bath, good views over golf course, good location near Victor Harbor and sepermarkets at top of road. Weather was windy and rainy in the evening so it was nice ot have a warm bistro to eat in with a resaonable choice.
We enjoyed our stay here - it had everything we needed (including a real hairdryer!). It was clean and tidy and our balcony had a lovely view across to Victor Harbor. Very comfortable bed. Big bathroom.
The location couldn't have been better - very short walk to everything including the beach and all food and drink options. The room had nice light and good space and a reasonable kitchenette.
