It is a great place for a few days visit to the beach and nearby wineries. The town has a well stocked supermarket and a local Saturday market. There are a few very good restaurants. We cancelled a trip to Hamilton Island and stayed here instead. We were not disappointed.

Star of Greece is a great spot to eat and the beach has crystal clear waters and super soft sand. Virtually no waves so a good spot for families. McLaren Vale wineries are nearby with so much to see and do - a fantastic spot to base yourself for the area but you do need a car. Getting a taxi or uber can be very tricky as we found out!

Port Willunga was certainly a lovely place to stay.

Port Willunga was certainly a lovely place to stay. The cliffs, old jetty, beach and the walks makes for a restful time. It is only a short easy drive to McClaren Vale where you can experience S.A wine. Port Willunga had a great fish and chip shop.
